What is Kundalini Yoga?

What can I expect in a Kundalini Yoga class?

Kundalini Yoga changed my life…

For years, I lived with nearly incapacitating lower back pain. I tried everything—doctors, bodywork, acupuncture, strict diets, and energy healing—but nothing helped. My scans were normal, yet the pain persisted, slowly draining my spirit.

Everything changed when I met my first Kundalini Yoga teacher, Anne Novak, in Connecticut. She guided me through a specific Kundalini series (kriya) and meditation to release trapped emotional energy. The practice was intense, but when it ended, my pain was gone. For the first time in years, I felt completely free.

That kind of immediate shift doesn’t happen for everyone, but after nearly 15 years of practice, Kundalini Yoga remains one of the most powerful and transformative tools I know. Its ability to support lasting healing is something that can’t be fully explained, only experienced, and it’s a gift I’m honored to share with others.
