Hi, I’m Stephen
I know what it feels like to be stuck…
…longing for change, trapped in your head, and disconnected from the person you know you can be. The truth is, I spent much of my life in this place. Although the externals of my life looked wonderful, inside I felt restless, miserable, and alone.
I was plagued by the belief that, “If I can just accomplish the next big project, get an awesome girlfriend, make more money, THEN I’ll be the happiest guy ever!” But after accomplishing many of those goals, I found myself as discontent as ever. I turned to alcohol, overachieving, codependency, traveling, anything to quell the gnawing dis-ease I felt inside. Which worked for a while—until it didn’t.
There is a solution.
After years of battling anxiety, depression and addiction, with the help of many generous teachers, guides and mentors, I finally transformed my life through a holistic combination of yoga, meditation, intensive recovery work, sound healing, breathwork, creative healing and surf therapy that collectively became my foundation for helping others.
I now offer support as a trauma-informed Recovery Coach Professional, Kundalini Yoga teacher, meditation instructor, Y12SR facilitator (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery), breathwork facilitator, sound healing practitioner and teacher trainer. I also help people connect with the great healing power of water by using surfing and ocean therapy as an experiential intervention.
My mission is to help my clients break through blocks, manage stress, and build physical, emotional & spiritual wellness to achieve freedom and authenticity.
Although I am now committed to a life dedicated to serving others, I spent more than two decades in NYC’s film and theater worlds as an accomplished director, producer and performer. I was previously Director of Production for Miramax Films and worked on several seasons of Saturday Night Live. My critically acclaimed documentary films have been released by Sundance Channel, New Line Cinema, and Warner Brothers. I also produced video content for myriad corporations including American Express, Radio City, IBM, Kenneth Cole and Barnes and Noble. My theater productions have been presented at the “Under the Radar” festival in NYC, Edinburgh International Festival, Singapore Arts Festival, Sarah Lawrence College, and other international venues.

After a lifelong love affair with the ocean and surfing, I took a leap of faith and moved to Maui—a place where my personal passions and professional purpose finally flow together. The ocean has always been my greatest teacher, reminding me that healing moves in waves—sometimes gentle, sometimes powerful, but always returning us home. From this beautiful island, I offer programs in person and online—with my loyal companion, Valentino, always close by.
Living on Maui feels like stepping into a living meditation. Nature here doesn’t rush; it trusts the timing of everything. That truth has become the foundation of how I work with others. The elements—water, air, earth, and sound—guide my approach to recovery, embodiment, and transformation. Maui has given me permission to bring all sides of myself to the table: the teacher, the seeker, the surfer, the sound healer, the coach. It’s allowing me to live and work from an integrated, open heart.
And then there’s Valentino—my co-facilitator, my little white bundle of wisdom. He’s a certified psychiatric service dog and a natural healer who has taught me more about love, patience, presence and the importance of play than any training ever could. During sessions, he instinctively knows when someone needs comfort—resting his head on their heart, leaning gently into their body, or simply offering his calm, grounding energy. People often tell me he’s magic, and I believe them.
Together, we hold space for transformation. My work is about helping people remember what the ocean already knows: that healing doesn’t mean fixing what’s broken—it means returning to your natural rhythm, your flow, your true self. Maui keeps teaching me that every wave returns to shore eventually, and every heart can find its way home.
